About

Flow Table Lamp

Flow is a modular LED table lamp with flexible positioning. The Flow table lamp has a simple and flowing design, in which all of the lamp's parts grow smoothly into each other, just like the branches on a tree.

"I was inspired by the idea of creating a LED table lamp that radiates lightness and agility. In Flow, I wanted to create a lamp whose minimal and slender shape expresses the intrinsic quality of being an easy to use lighting object for your desk," says designer Andreas Kowalewski.

Flow is ideal as a work lamp in the home or in professional office environments, where the sculptural design provides optimum flexibility in lighting even large desks.

Designer

Andreas Kowalewski

Born in Berlin, Andreas Kowalewski began his path in design with a cabinetmaker apprenticeship, after which he went on to study Industrial Design at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. Since his graduation in 2006, he has developed products, furniture and lighting for some of the leading companies in the design field. In 2012, Andreas founded his Amsterdam based studio, where he works on various design solutions, covering the overall spectrum of the design process.

Andreas' work is strongly influenced by his passion for experimenting with materials, construction principles and innovative technologies. He is driven by an ambition to create design solutions that have meaning and reduce complexity, while using as little material as possible.

"I am continuously searching for purity in form and detail as well as perfection in well-made objects. Purposeful objects, which value craftsmanship and inspire the imagination of people."
