Kathrin, known as @photisserie on Instagram, is a German photographer and chef based in Munich. Her dual passion for cooking and photography has made her a go-to source for culinary and aesthetic inspiration.

“When I was invited to portray the Mat Chair, I was immediately captivated by its materials of hemp and seaweed, both of which can also be used in the kitchen,” 

“I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, so it felt natural to capture the chairs in my home. It’s a space where family comes together to prepare food, sharing meals, stories and experiences from our day.”

“On the same day I photographed the chairs, I made a green tomato tart, and thought there was something poetic in the way the chairs facilitate meaningful encounters over home-cooked meals.”
